Quantum Computers are no longer theory

When your memory of global or cultural events does NOT match today's reality. Examples are: Nelson Mandela dying in prison, the BerenstEIn bears, Interview with A Vampire, Sex IN the City, previously-dead-now-alive celebrities, countries in different places, 52 states in America etc.

Quantum Computers are no longer theory

Postby Primalredemption » Wed Apr 19, 2017 10:59 pm

This one threw me for a major loop. In this timeline, quantum computers have been out since 2013 as workable pieces of equipment. They have the quantum bits figured out (qubits), all the logic gates worked out, and the capacity to cool the chip down to near absolute zero even in working conditions.

This is all very new to me, and apparently many other ME experiencers who all say this has suddenly appeared in the last 6 months to a year.

You would figure such a revolutionary breakthrough would make headlines worldwide. But no, it's like the most natural thing in the world here. Quantum computers, go figure.

Wait...have you experienced a timeline where everyday objects used by normal people (defined loosely as people who are not employed in cutting edge IT or particle physics) involve quantum computers? In the reality Ive experienced, their use is extremely limited if at all.

We seem to be on the verge of the quantum age but quite there yet. I admit, though...in just the little bit of reading I did, I didnt know that Google and NASA (I know...I know...) were claiming to have quantum machines and I agree that I'd have that would have been huge news.
